A Focused Trade Exhibition for the Aviation Services Industry in Africa

For the first time on South African soil, a truly focused, international, business-to-business trade exhibition for the African civil aviation services industry - AIR Africa 2010 (Aviation Industry Rendezvous) will take place at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand from Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 February 2010.

GRAND CENTRAL AIRPORT has confirmed their support of AIR Africa 2010. This positive development will impact on the service we are able to offer our exhibitors who market aircraft as they will now have the opportunity of displaying their aircraft at the static display park at Grand Central.

Grand Central is in close proximity to the Gallagher Convention Centre and a shuttle service will be arranged between the exhibition and the airport so that exhibitors can take their clients to view the aircraft.

Grand Central will also offer an aircraft parking facility for exhibitors at Gallagher.

THE CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF SOUTH AFRICA (SACAA) has offered its full support to the event and will be participating in the master class and dialogue sessions covering relevant issues pertinent to the civil aviation industry on safety standards and proposed legislation on training.

A separate Pavilion is being created on AIR Africa 2010 for members of SMART-X. This up-to-the-minute technology including smart technology, biometrics, barcode technology, security and RFID, being phased into the aviation industry, will be represented at the exhibition.

AIR Africa is intended to meet the needs of the commercial and general aviation and airline industries in Africa.

AIR Africa is a cost effective, three-day business-to-business exhibition with no flying dislpay, in order to promote and create an environment highly conducive to the conduct of business. With worldwide changes in materials and technology continually affecting the aviation sector, AIR Africa 2010 will serve to bridge the gap between dedicated aviation service suppliers and decision makers in the aviation industry responsible for purchasing services and products.
